Volunteers at Last : )
We swore-in as volunteers today at the U.S. Embassy in front of the Ambassador. High class. There were napkins embossed with the seal of the U.S. and there was a sign on the toilet lid that said that the toilet was not a place for storing important documents. Tomorrow we leave for our sites so I might not write on the blog for a while.

Wow, congratulations, that sounds like a really cool experience! Did you take any pictures? I wonder if they've had a reoccurring problem with people hiding their "important documents" in the toilet! So weird!
ReplyDeleteI got your text at 11:11am, my time. I sent you one back, but I am assuming you didn't get it :( I will have to call Verizon. I checked online at my plan and it says I can send and receive international text messages (it only costs $0.50 to send and receive!)
Anyways, good luck travelling to Thyolo! Have fun. Oh, yeah, did you ever receive the first package that I sent?
Since I can receive your texts, if you don't have internet access, text me your new address in Thyolo when you get it.
Talk to you soon!
